What's in Primark: Accessories edition!

Hi guys,
Last night I popped down to Primark to see what they had in store. With the honeymoon approaching I am in need of basics, and I love the primark stretch vests, which cost just £2 each! Sum total of my Primark spend? £8.50 on 3 vests and a pocohontas-style headband. Whilst I was in store though I checked out everything else on offer (like you do!) and whilst I wasn't really impressed with any of the dresses (the selection was small and generic) I did like some of the accessories:

I really loved the deck shoes in the vibrant colours: very eighties style, and a bargain for £10! I also couldn't resist these flowery sequinned pumps in the turquoise (my new favourite colour!) The shoes are always my favourite section in Primark : the designs and styles are just like you'd get from much better shops (though admittedly the quality isn't the same) but the prices are so cheap: perfect for micro trends you want to try, but know you won't wear over again (like neon deck shoes, for example!)

Satchels:

My love of satchels is well documented. These mustard and brown ones look far more expensive than the £8 they actually cost!

Bikinis:

With summer coming, how could you not cover bikinis?? Their sun shop section was actually small, and not that impressive: maybe it's a little early for the full range to be in store. Although they don't come in cup sizes (so they aren't good for curvy girls) the primark bikinis come in great patterns and are super cheap: perfect if you're looking for something just to wear for a week on a budget. These come in at around £5-7.

One for the stylish mummies with bumps!

Hi guys,
You may or may not know that as well as blogging for so many sites it makes my hands hurt, I also work for a parenting website/magazine: that’s what I call the day job! Choosing maternity clothes for every occasion, writing about breast feeding, putting together outfits for yummy mummies: if it would interest a mum then I write about it! Babies are quickly taking over my life. I write about them all day at work, and spend as much of my weekend time as I can playing with them: well, one in particular!

Since my sister Lucy had Lily Grace (my darling three month old neice) I want to see her as much as I can. I have also become further obsessed with baby clothes: if it's cute, tiny, and pink then I can't resist buying it for her! I have also become that aunt: the one that buys all the soft toys that get in the parents way, and teaches the baby bad behaviour! I can't wait until she's old enough to take to the fair and spoil with icecream!

So I thought it was time that instead of just focusing on womens clothing I would do what I do in the office for a bloggy change: pull together some hot summer pieces for any mamas with bumps. Because I think its so easy to forget that just because your pregnant doesn't mean you don't want to look fashionable too!

Cream top Littlewoods £18, Sundress Topshop £36, Rose print blouse Topshop £32.
Bottom row: Zebra print dress £38 Mothercare, Denim skirt £26 Mothercare, Floral top Littlewoods £32.

Its an embarassing secret that I have a minor phobia of pregnant women. It's not so bad during the early stages, but what the bump is so big you can see it moving? It gives me palpatations! Still, with these cute, flowy dresses and tops you wouldn't have those problems: the bump would be covered and the focus would be on the fashion instead. Everyone's a winner!

Daily Wear: Missy Matchy!

Hi guys,
It wasn't until I glanced at my very orange finger nails that I realised quite how matchy-matchy this outfit is! My boots match my bag. My dress matches my scarf and nails (and to a certain extent my bronzer) Only my blazer doesn't have a matching partner!

The dress is seasons old from Topshop. The boots and jacket are also from Topshop (more matching alert!) The scarf is from H&M, and the bag - well, you've seen that in every picture from the past couple of weeks! It's Betty Jackson Black at Debenhams. My hair is still a mess, but there is light at the end of the tunnel: i'm having a cut and colour on Saturday!

It feels really miserable to have to wear a scarf and boots again. I'd just relegated my knitwear to the back of my wardrobe, and dug out all my sandals and sundresses. I know the warm weather came early, but I embraced it! Now we're in a seasonal no-mans land, and I have no idea what to wear! I seem to keep opting for layers (for warmth) and colour to show that it's spring! How are you coping with the changable weather? Any tips to share on how to stay warm without resorting to your winter coat?
