COMPETITION: Win a whole outfit from Fashion Pony!

Hi guys,
I love two things: the new pastel jeans trend, and Fashion Pony. Fashion Pony is a gorgeous little website that stocks a mix of very cool independant designers (they're also a lovely fabfrocks advertiser) So when I wanted to run a new competition on the site for you guys, they were my first port of call. And they kindly agreed. And even better, the prize involves pastel coloured jeans. What's not to love?!

The Prize
You can choose ONE pair of coloured jeans from the site (they come in green, pale pink, lilac, and lemon yellow) and then any ONE top you fancy to go with them (the value of the top can be up to £40). Here are a selection of my favourites, but it would be almost impossible to choose just one:
Photobucket
Photobucket
To Enter
All you have to do is 1) Be a follower of this blog and 2) Leave a comment telling me which coloured jeans and top you would choose from Fashion Pony if you won the competition. It really is that simple!

The competition closes at 12 oclock noon on Saturday 5th May, when I will draw and announce the winner. The winner will be chosen completely at random, so everyone who enters has the same chance of winning. Good luck!

Could you be the next Sarenza Ambassador?

Photobucket
A selection of some of my amazing Sarenza shoes

Hi guys,
As you guys know, I am a Sarenza brand ambassador, and I love it! What's not to love about reviewing shoes, buying new shoes, and taking photos of lovely shoes?! It's thanks to Sarenza that I've discovered great new brands (like Valensi, who make the most comfortable pumps I've ever worn) as well as experiment with old faithfuls, like Jeffrey Campbell.

And now I have great news, because Sarenza are recruiting for a new blogger brand ambassador! (This post is just for any readers that are also bloggers, I'm afraid)

As a Sarenza Ambassador you’ll receive a £150 voucher to spend on shoes EVERY MONTH which you will then review on your blog, as well as the chance to win an extra £50 voucher each month for the ‘Ambassador post of the month’. On top of that, you’ll also receive invitations to events in Paris and London, exclusive news and sales previews! Not bad, right?

If you'd like to be a Sarenza brand ambassador, all you have to do is write a short article on your favourite shoes from Sarenza on your blog. Then send a tweet to @SarenzaUK with a link to your article (so they know you've taken part!) and the hashtag #SarenzaAmbassador.

The deadline for entries is 27th January 2012. Five finalists will then be chosen by the Sarenza team, and compete in a battle to the death (or not!) on twitter, and the blogger with the most votes will win. Simple!!

Let me know if you enter: it would be amazing if one of my lovely readers made it to the final five!

Sarenza A/W Collection Review: Pure British Style

Hi guys,

Sarenza have just launched their brand new A/W collection on site. To celebrate that, they are launching a review contest to pick the Best of British style from their new ranges, and they asked me to take part. As a Sarenza brand ambassador (and dedicated fan of the brand) how could I say no?!

I have an imaginary £800 to spend on the new season shoes of my dreams. Can you imagine how exciting that would be?! But instead of just showing you shoes, I thought I would show you how to turn incredible statement shoes into outfits:

Photobucket
First up are these House of Harlow ankle boots (£240). How gorgeous are these?! They're 100% leather, and I love the slightly bondage-style overlays. I would team these with my leather jacket, skinny black jeans, a cute satchel (I have the Friis & Co one from Sarenza, and it's fab!) and a vibrant, oversized chunky knit scarf.
Photobucket

Next up are these Mellow Yellow ankle boots (£160). I love these boots: they're simple and delicate, but they'd go with anything. These would be perfect for teaming with a dress and a fitted fur coat for a work to evening occasion.

Photobucket

Then I would indulge with these crazy Jeffrey Campbell Lita heels (£103.32) These shoes deserve to be taken to a party, so I would wear it with a sequinned dress and tan vintage-style accessories.

Photobucket

Finally, I would put on my sensible hat and get these Jonak moccasin boots (£63.75) They look so comfortable, and would be great for long Autumnal walks. Team with jeans and knits for a cozy take on the heritage trend.

Total fictional spend: £567.07. Which leaves me plenty of money to buy comfy pumps in every colour: perfect for when all those beautiful heels leave my feet aching!

I love being British: I think we Brits have a very distinct sense of style, both with our shoes and our dress. I just can't imagine a French woman hitting her local disco in those glittery Jeffery Campbell boots with quite the same gusto I would! I know i'm generalising, but I think we just throw things together and experiment a little bit more.

NB: For ease (and because this really isn't about the clothes!) all the outfits are from Topshop.
Love, Tor xx

PS - Don't forget to enter my London Fashion Week competition: you could win a tote bag packed full of goodies!

Zalando's Fashion Frenzy

Hi guys,
I've written about Zalando before, and right now they're running a pretty cool competition for fashion bloggers. To enter, all you have to do is choose your dream outfit from their shop and post it online. This has been running all month (trust me to be late to the table!) and will end on 30th September.

The prize is £300 a month to spend on clothes for 12 months: quick maths tells me that that's a £3600 new wardrobe! But don't worry: for the non-bloggers out there, there's also the chance to win a £300 shopping voucher over on their facebook page.

Zalando are a big comparison site (you've probably seen their shoe ad on the TV at the minute!) and they stock thousands of fashion lines from hundreds of different brands. So picking my dream outfit was pretty easy:
Photobucket
All outfits start with a good pair of shoes, so I started with these Jonak brogues. I love the jazz era two-tone brogues (definitely on my must-have list!). To these I added a floral tea dress from Vera Moda and a chunky yellow cardigan (which looks vintage but isn't - I need this in my wardrobe!)

And because I'm an accessories addict, I just had to add a belt, bag (by Sonia Rykiel and beautiful!), scarf, and yummy bangle! OK, at this point I've spent far too long on the Zalando website, and need to win this competition before I bankrupt myself!

I know this isn't a particularly fashion forward outfit (no new season trends here!) but it's exactly my style: a little bit vintage inspired, focused on a lovely frock and lots of gorgeous statement accessories all piled on top of each other. I'm sure someone did once tell me less is more, but I didn't listen!

What would your dream outfit for this winter be? Are there any pieces you're coveting right now?

Love, Tor xxx

Are you the face of Fabulous magazine?

Hi guys,
Last night I went to the launch of the 'Face of Fabulous magazine' competition. (You know Fabulous magazine: the one that comes free with the News of the World on a Sunday?) It looks like this:
Photobucket
The event was the usual bloggers fun: champagne, cupcakes, hair and make up, and a professional photographer (plus a very yummy male model to show us girls how to strike a pose!) All of the clothes for playing dress up were provided by New Look, although my hayfever attack and the heat meant I definitely didn't feel like dressing up, hence the lack of pics! I fell slightly in love with these amazing New Look heels though, as modelled by Jenny (of The Style PA):
Photobucket
Photobucket
Can you believe these crazy shoes cost just £49.99? Apparently they are inspired by the circus. Anyway, enough of my shoe and cupcake chat (they were delicious cupcakes) and on to the competition: its open to any female over the age of 16 who is a resident of the UK.

Obviously, I do not possess a model figure: or model good looks, so I won't be entering. If you do, you can vist the Fabulous facebook page to enter the competition. The prize includes being on the cover of Fabulous magazine, having a photo shoot in New York and being guarenteed a year’s modelling contract with Next Models: definitely worth giving it a go if you think you've got what it takes! Let me know if you enter - then I can say I found you here first!

Love, Tor xx

PS - Goly gosh! Me (who never wins anything) won the star prize at the raffle at the end of the evening: a £250 trolley dash around New Look. Obviously I will be posting all about it as soon as it happens!

Competition Winner AND Clothing at Tesco Press Day

Hi guys,
Well, first things first: drumroll please, it's time to announce the winner of my faith shoes competition, which I ran for an extra day because of the problems with blogger last week. The winner of those two gorgeous pairs of Faith shoes is........EMMA! I chose Emma because she wants to wear them to her best friends wedding: and you know i'm a sucker for weddings right now. Congratulations!!

Secondly, last week I went to the Clothing at Tesco press day and press show. I was obsessed with almost every coat I saw (its an addiction) and I couldn't believe how good they looked considering they only cost between £40-50. It was a really nice looking collection, especially for the money, and all of next seasons key trends were covered. Here's just a sneaky peak of some of the looks:
Photobucket
Photobucket
Colourwise, it was all very autumnal, and similar to last Autumn/Winter (good news if you aren't planning on doing much shopping this winter!) The seventies trend is still around, but has evolved from hippie to preppy: think bright denim, shirts with collars, and knitted jumpers. And I was glad to see that peach and cinamon were still popular: they're my current obsessions!

Daily wear: Ill advised knits!

Hi guys,
Will I ever dress right for the weather?! I decided to opt for a cardigan instead of a jacket, but chose the wrong one! This one left my arms cold when I was walking to work this morning, but is too thick for the heat of the day, and i'm sat feeling unbearably hot. Oh well, at least it's a nice looking cardigan: fashion first!
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
The dress is topshop (outlet actually, £20 bogof) the cardigan is very old New Look, the shoes are from Office. The jewellery and bag are all regulars that you've seen plenty of before!

I love these shoes and expected them to be comfortable, given they are such low heels. But despite the fact i've had them for three years, the peep toe cuts my big toes to shreds everytime I wear them, so I can only ever wear them on days where I know I won't be doing a lot of trekking about town!

Finally, sorry for the close up of my moody face (one of these days i'll learn to smile!) but I wanted to share my new hair cut and colour! It's not much different from the old one (i'm a creature of habit!) but I have had some low lights added this time so the colour won't look too harsh as it starts to grow out: my hair grows so quickly in the summer, so this is my only solution! The next time I have my hair coloured will be 6 days before my wedding! Eeek!!

Love,
Tor xxx

PS - DON'T FORGET to enter my awesome Faith competition! There are two amazing pairs of shoes up for grabs!

To be in with a chance of winning these two amazing pairs of shoes, just Follow the blog (using the box to your right!) and leave a comment letting me know where you would wear these fabulous shoes! New season styles from Marc b bags!

Hi guys,
You may remember about six months ago I did a review of a gorgeous Marc b bag? I gave it a very positive review and I stand by it: that bag is still going strong! Anyway, the new Marc b collection shots have just come in, and I am already drowning in lust-caused saliva, because they are really gorgeous:
Photobucket
Photobucket
Above: The Emmy in teal crocodile, The Kiki in grey, The Bianca in duck egg blue, and The Olivia in black.

When I chose my Marc b bag, I opted for the classic gold-chained Knightsbridge in classic black: a very 80s Chanel imitation style bag. But now I am lusting after than boxy Bianca in the duck egg blue: more adventurous and on-trend than classic, but oh so delicious! I know I keep mentioning the Seventies trend, but it's hard not to, because it's everywhere I turn. And this bag would be perfect for anyone looking for the seventies trend. Or in my case, anyone with an obsession with boxy, vintage-looking bags!

The Marc b collection for this season is really strong. The range includes everything from re-worked classics with antique lace detailing, modern toughened-up styles, revamped satchels and luxurious clutches in classic functional shapes. The colour palette covers just about every colour you could fancy (there's no real overriding theme to the colour scheme) want pastels, black, teal, grape? You can have all of the above and more!

I love accessories in general, and handbags in particular, so the opportunity to find good quality bags at affordable prices, meaning I can have one to match almost every outfit, is like catnip to me!

Are you slightly lustful of the Marc b bags too? Then you're in luck! Watch this space, because next week I will be running an exciting competition to win one of these Marc b bags!

And the winner is.... (Drum roll please)....

Hi guys,
Well, the time has come to announce the winner of my Brand Alley competition. I couldn't believe how many of you entered, or how close some of your guesses were!
Photobucket
So now to reveal the RRP of my £100 spend: The D&G shoes were 710 euros (see label above for evidence) which I have converted to £600.06p, using today's rates. The umbrella rrp'ed at £35 and the Clinique exfoiliator rrp'ed at £16.50. That means that for less than £100, the grand RRP total of my shopping trip was £651.56p

....Which means the winner is....EmmaBarron, with a crazily close guess of £654!! Congratulations! Emma: drop me an email here so that I pass your email address to Brand Alley, who will sort out your voucher!

I, for one, couldn't believe how high the rrp of those shoes were: I was sure they would throw you off the scent, but you clever folks obviously know your shoes!

I've got more competitions coming over the next couple of weeks, so if you didn't win today, better luck next time!

Competition: Win £50 to spend at Brand Alley

Hi guys,
Just before Christmas, I had a mini spending spree at designer discount store Brand Alley. Each day new sales are added from new designers, so you never know what you're going to find when you visit the site: that's half the magic!

Today there is a sale on Vivienne Westwood sunglasses: tomorrow is the start of a Diesel sale. On the day of my shop their were sales taking place on designer shoes, Lulu Guiness umbrellas, and Clinique skincare.

Here's what I picked up:
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Gold leather D&G shoes, Lulu Guiness stripe and cameo umbrella, and Clinique exfoliator.

I couldn't believe the amazing value for money: i'm a real convert! I've picked up all sorts of stuff from Brand Alley since discovering it: OPI nail varnish, Moschino jewellery, and their January sale was unbelievable: I got a pair of grey shoe-boots for a fiver!

Now on to the competition: The total cost of my order was £99.30. I know, I can't believe it either! Now all you have to do to win a £50 gift voucher to spend at Brand Alley is tell me how much my little spree was worth: what is the combined rrp of the three items pictured above? Pop your guess in the comments, and the person that comes closest is the winner.

The competition closes at 12 noon on Wednesday 2nd February, so get guessing now! Good luck!

Love, Tor xx

Note: Brand Alley is a wonderful fantabulous place to get incredible designer goodies at amazingly low prices. But the pay off is that you have to wait a little while for your order to arrive: these babies took six weeks to reach me. But it was definitely worth the wait!!

Note #2: Sorry for the terrible picture of the umbrella! I was too superstitious to put it up in the house, so i've used a snap of it as I was getting off the tube!

Sarenza high heel race - vote for me!

Hi Guys,
Finally i've found a sport I might be good at: Sarenza is organising a High Heel Running Race. This is the third year they've run the event but the first they've opened it up to British teams as well as French ones: they're pitching it as a battle of our two great nations!

Can you believe that 79 French teams have entered, compared to just 10 British teams!? I decided to even the balance and enter my own team: Fabfrocks on Foot! Please click on this link and vote for me: I would love to give those French teams a run for their money! In total, 12 French teams and 12 English teams will be selected to take part and will have the chance of winning £2,500 of shoes in the High Heel Race Grand Final.

The French team and the English team with the highest number of votes will each receive a place in the Grand Final. Whilst their supporters will have the chance to win a year’s supply of shoes: yes, there are shoes to be won if you vote for me - don't say I don't know my bribery!

Here is some footage of last years event: looks amazing!
How fun does that look? And although i'm no Olympic sprinter, i'm a dab hand at running in heels: years of practice on the cobbles of Norwich have made me an all-terrain heel runner! I think I could definitely give those French girls a run for their money! So please vote for me using this link! All you have to do is click to vote and then click another link in a confirmation email - it will take less than a minute! And that ends my boring begging post...

Thanks guys!

Win more than my salary with Paypal!

I pay for nearly everything using Paypal: it's frightening really! And when Zara started accepting Paypal payments I knew the situation could get dangerous....

So I was really excited when they got in touch letting me know that you can win £40 000 (Which is more than I earn in a year, despite them calling it their year's salary competition!) What would you do with 40 grand? I know what I would do! Obviously once i'd bulstered the wedding fund up a bit (yep, predictable again!) I would hit the shops for a serious spree. It would be a challenge to spend £40,000 in one day, but I think I could do it! I work on Bruton street, so I have to walk past Stella McCartney and Matthew Williamson every single day...how amazing it would be to be one of the ladies exiting the shops laden with bags!

To be in with a chance of winning the big £40,000 prize all you have to do is buy anything using PayPal, and the more times you buy, the more chances you get. (It’s a weekly draw). That was just the quick version, but you can find out more about the competition here. That means (if i've got this right!) that I can treat myself from ASOS (my new addiction since their press day!) and potential win my money back plus about 100 times more: as if I needed more incentive to shop! Speaking of ASOS (aren't I always!) here are my latest lust-have items from the site:
Photobucket
Embellished collar dress £46, Embellished crop top, £60, and Encrusted shirt dress, £36. All yummy embellished items perfect for Christmas. Sigh!

Never mind buying it all to win 40k. I'd have to win 40k before I could afford it all! Still, a girl can dream! Enter now for your chance to win

Love, Tor xx
PS - If you do win don't forget you heard it hear first, and you have to share the wealth with me!

Giveaway: DKNY Be Delicious Perfume!

Hi guys,
DKNY Be Delicious perfume is 5 years old. And to celebrate, I have a 30 ml bottle, and a matching make up bag to give away!
Photobucket
It's a great looking perfume: i'm a big fan of a gimmick, so I love the apple label on the bottle, and its apple shape. Of course, before I could give away a bottle to you, I had to have a little bottle to try myself, and I am wearing it right now. It smells Delicious, if you'll excuse the obvious joke! Its very fruity and sweet: I would say it was a youthful fragrance because of it's sugary overtones, which are noticable but not overpowering. It's definitely a day time perfume, as I like more depth in my evening ones, but it's perfect for days in the office, and its smell reminds me of summertime!

To win all you have to do is follow the blog (see the big follow box to your right!) and leave a comment below letting me know what your favourite perfume is. The winner will be chosen at random next Monday (25th October) Good luck!

Love, Tor xx

PS - In addition to my fab competition, DKNY have also launched a competition on their Facebook page with a trip the New York City to win. Entrants have to design their own Be Delicious bottle and Donna Karan herself will select the best design and the author of the creation will win the trip as a reward! Definitely worth checking out!

PPS - Please take 2 minutes to take the Fabfrocks Reader Survey. This will really help me make the site better, and everyone who enters will be added to a prize draw to win a fabulous fashion and beauty prize (which includes another bottle of DKNY Be Delicious Perfume!)
